This morning I awoke early. Perhaps I am not quite settled into the time change. So I decided to use the 30 minutes before I got up for meditation. Turning to my Omvana App I turned on the now very familiar 6 Phase Meditation. A good portion of the guided meditation focuses the consciousness on the energy of the frequency of appreciation. It is a very helpful aid and a wonderful way to begin the day. One part of the 6 Phase meditation asks the participant to imagine a perfect day. It goes like this. Imagine your day unfolding using all 5 senses. Imagine, for example, what that perfect cup of coffee would be like. Feel the warm cup in your hand. Savor the aroma and see the pattern of the cream as you pour it in. Taste the delicious coffee as you feel it on your tongue. Imaging your day unfolding with appreciation for each moment. The meditation raises your frequency as the perfect day unfolds.
As I went through the real day today I was noticing with increasing awareness the things that I appreciated that had come up in the morning meditation exercise. Was it coincidence, increased consciousness, manifestations of my meditation, or something more? Perhaps it was a combination of all of the above, but it did start me thinking………
Then I thought………… What would it be like to be fully conscious at each moment of something around me to gratefully appreciate? How would it feel to put on a “lens of Appreciation” so that all that I encountered; all that I saw, touched, tasted, smelled, or heard; was truly appreciated? I have been thinking this most of the day and trying it out in bits and pieces.
So….. here is the conclusion and resolution I have made tonight. Tomorrow will be a “Lens of Appreciation” Day! I will set my consciousness intentionally on the high frequency of Grateful Appreciation and “look” through that lens at everything I encounter. I am excited and will report back with a post on the day after tomorrow!!
I would like to challenge each of you to join me and report back as well. If the whole day seems too daunting them choose a part of the day. Even a short period of time can be an amazing experience. Let’s do this!!!!!
Gratefully Appreciating each of you.
Don
